Insurance Technologies Appoints New Board Member Gene Lunman

Insurance Technologies, LLC, a provider of sales and regulatory automation solutions for the insurance and financial services industries, announced the appointment of Gene Lunman to its Board of Directors. As a well-respected long-serving veteran of the life and annuity industry and an accomplished executive in leading key corporate functional areas, Lunman holds a unique industry perspective that will be influential in executing the company's growth, market and product strategies.

Prior to joining the Insurance Technologies board, Lunman was the Executive Vice President for Retail Life and Disability lines of business for MetLife, one of the largest global providers of life insurance, annuities, employee benefits and asset management. He directed a staff of over 400 associates and led the strategic execution of product development, new business and underwriting.

Lunman began his industry career as a member of the Actuarial Management Development Program at Travelers Insurance Company, completing his Fellowship in 1988. During his 23-year career at Travelers he managed all actuarial functions for the Life Insurance business and later worked in the International team completing insurance startups, most notably in Japan. In 2005 MetLife acquired Travelers Life and Annuity. Lunman's role grew while at MetLife, starting as the VP of Life Product development and ultimately ending as the EVP leading the Retail Life and Disability business. For his last major project, Lunman headed the rebuilding of the Life division in Charlotte, NC.
